For Anders Anderson it’s all about family.  His wife, his children, his parents and his commitment to teaching define him as a person.

Anders grew up locally, playing basketball at Alta Loma High School before coming to Chaffey in 1987 where he played 2 seasons for Coach McCall.    While at Chaffey, Anders was ranked fourth in the state for rebounding, received all league honors and was a member of the 1988 League Championship team.  He earned his AA with honors before moving on to Cal Poly Pomona.  Before leaving Chaffey, he met Chrissy Sweeny, who would later become his wife.

At Cal Poly, Anders continued his academic and athletic excellence, twice earning Academic All American honors.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Behavioral Science and then continued at Cal Poly, earning his teaching credential in 1992.

Anders returned to Alta Loma High School, his Alma Mater, in 1993 as a teacher and coach.  As varsity head coach, Anders led his team to a League Championship in 1996.

Anders is committed to his family, wife Chrissy and children Ashtyn, Alyssa, Aidan and Alec.  The family enjoys eating dinner together every night, camping at local beaches and traveling across the country.  He is also an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic church.
