Long Beach
For the fifth time since the season started two weeks ago, the Panthers have beat their opponents by just one run including today's 5-4 defeat of Long Beach City. But one run is enough as the Panthers have brought home six wins in their first eight games.
Despite out hitting the Chaffey team (13:6), the Vikings failed to score thanks to a strong Panther defense. "Du Mont and Delgado were key to our defense today," commented Head Coach Cordero.
Ryan Buckley started the Panthers out on the mound and was releived by Daniel Jaime, Tyler Tilton, and Sergio Ramirez. "Tilton came in in a pressure situation and got himself out of some jams today. He gave us some quality innings to get to the 9th to Sergio Ramirez who came in with a steamroll of adrenaline and got the save for us."
The team hosts Glendale Tuesday and El Camino Wednesday.
