Bio

Jason Burrell enters his second season at Chaffey College as the wide receiver coach.  Prior to Chaffey, Burrell coached the wide receivers at Upland High School. The Los Angeles native played his junior college football at West Los Angles College, where he earned his associates degree. Coach Burrell also earned his bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University (sports psychology). Coach Burrell’s professional goal is to unlock his players talents and maximize their growth as players and people so that they can change the trajectory of their lives. Coach Burrell’s advice to his players is to “Give football your focused attention, but don’t let it become your identity. Your identity is in Christ Jesus and with him you will do great things!”

Outside of coaching, Burrell enjoys studying the game, reading books, building relationships with like-minded people and spending time with his family. Coach Burrell is married to wife Chanel, and together they have three children Jordan, Jaden and Jackson.
