PANTHERS CLOSE SEASON WITH WIN AT HOME V PCC
The men hosted Pasadena tonight for their final regular season home game, closing out the conference season 8-2. Against the 3rd place Lancers, Chaffey went 99-65 after leading PCC by 18 at the break. Sophomore Jaylen Wiltz had his second consecutive hot game posting 17 points including four 3s. Between the two teams, 17 three-point shots were made. Chaffey shot 48% from the 3-point line and 74% on free throws.
"It was a great win tonight. We led from start-to-finish and played with passion. The team is on a six-game winning streak and peaking at the right time for the playoffs," Jeff Klein wrapped up.
The Panthers complete the conference season in 2nd place, 1 game behind East LA.
Playoff seeding will be announced Monday afternoon with playoffs starting Wednesday the 27th. Chaffey will likely have a first round bye and begin regionals March 1st or 2nd.
