A 40-POINT WIN OVER DESERT SHOWCASES UNSTOPPABLE PANTHER OFFENSE
Chaffey's Men's Basketball team showcased a combination of speed, agility, accuracy, and cohesiveness on their way to an incredible 129-89 win over College of the Desert. With only a handful of conference games remaining, the Panthers can take the IEAC title and a low playoff seed if they can keep this momentum and spirit going.
Leading tonight's charge was local favorite Shaden Knight with 30 points, 18 coming from three-point position. Elijah Goad had 18 points, primarily from threes. In all, the Panthers shot 18 three-point shots across both periods. Mourad Toure contributed 15 tonight; Uriyah Rojas 13, Jacob Barcelo 12, and Nate Simon 12. Eleven players were on the board for Chaffey. Toure had the night's only double-double with 11 rebounds.
Chaffey will play the next two games on the road; first at Barstow and then at Mt San Jacinto before playing their final regular season game at home on Friday, February 23rd against Cerro Coso. A conference title hinges on wins against MSJC and Cerro Coso.
