PANTHERS FALL SHORT AGAINST PALOMAR
The Panthers hosted Palomar this afternoon coming up short in a 12-0 loss. The Comets took a four run lead to start the game off, adding five in the 3rd and three in the 5th for the 5-inning ruling.
"We're playing a tough pre-conference schedules against playoff caliber teams," Head Coach Jerry Tivey told his team. "The Comets were coming off a loss and were hungry for a win just like we were at Saddleback Saturday. We'll bounce back. We have a lot of ball yet to play with the conference season just starting next week. These teams that we have seen the last few weeks we'll see again once we make it to regionals and beyond."
Returning pitcher Violet Salazar opened the game for the Panthers going 2.2 before being relieved by Isabella Anzueto. Madison Randall had the Panthers' sole hit of the game with a double in the 5th.
The Panthers host El Camino Friday at 2:30pm.
