CHAFFEY FALLS TO #1 PALOMAR
The Panthers traveled to Palomar yesterday to take on the #1 ranked Comets. The game started off slow, with both teams struggling to score in the first few innings. The pitchers on both sides were in top form, and the fielders were making some impressive plays to keep the score at 0-0.
However, things started to heat up in the 4th inning when Palomar finally broke the deadlock and scored 5 runs (one off Alexya Naranjo and then four off Tori (Victoria) Morton). The team's batters were on fire, hitting the ball with precision and power, and the Chaffey defense was unable to keep up.
Palomar's momentum continued in the 5th and 6th innings, with the team scoring another 3 runs to bring the score to 8-0. The Chaffey players were visibly frustrated, but they continued to fight until the very end, hoping to score some runs and narrow the gap.
Despite their best efforts, Chaffey was unable to score, and the game ended with Palomar emerging as the clear winners.
Overall, the game was a great showcase of the talent and skill of both teams. The Panthers take on Glendale Saturday and resume conference play Friday, March 17th against Cerro Coso.
