Sophomore forward Niyah Sanders racked up five goals against Cerro Coso yesterday in the Panthers' runaway 15-0 win over the Coyotes. Sanders currently leads the conference in goals and is ranked #15 in the state. Only two other players in the state have scored five goals in a single game so far this season.
Chaffey lead 6-0 at the half and then a series of four Panther goals in less than 10 minutes suddenly took the game to 10-0 and the Panther offense did not let up, posting five additional points before the final whistle.
"Yesterday's game allowed the whole team to be involved and work together towards the win," commented Grace Cooper. The team travels to Norco Friday afternoon.
