Bio

Julia Erickson is from Granada Hills, Calif., where she was a graduate of Granada Hills Charter High School. She was defensive specialist/libero and team captain. She earned first-team All-West Valley and first-team All-City of Los Angeles honors as a member of the Highlanders' West Valley League championship team. She was the recipient of the varsity squad's Defensive Player of the Year Award and the Team Server of the Year Award, and was Senior All-Star Game selection.

As a junior, Erickson earned All-West Valley honors and was named the Highlanders' varsity Defensive Player of the Year. Erickson and her teammates were West Valley co-league champions and Division 1 City of Los Angeles champions.

Collegiately, Erickson played for Clarke University where she was a 2-year scholar athlete and all-academic conference selection. Before Clarke, she competed for fellow CCCAA community college, Pierce College, which was the state championship runner-up team. Prior to transferring to Pierce, Erickson was a member of the volleyball program at Cal State East Bay.

She has earned her bachelors degree, and is completing her masters degree program from Concordia Irvine University, in Coaching & Athletics Administration.

She has coached multiple high school programs, varsity level and has experience in coaching both men and women. She has also coached at an elite youth level for LAVA Volleyball club for the past four years.
