MARTIN TAKES SECOND AT IEAC CHAMPIONSHIP - TEAM FINISHES SECOND IN CONFERENCE

Sophomore Svetlana Martin finished the inaugural IEAC Championship race (hosted at Chaffey College) in 2nd place overall with a time of 21:58.  Stephanie Tovar had her best race of the season, improving her time by 11 seconds, showing excellent poise, and beating out the #4 runner from SBVC by nearly 30 seconds. 

The team finished the sole conference meet tied with San Bernardino Valley but failed to break the tie as the number six runner for Chaffey was hurt during the race and did not finish.  All five Panther runners finished in the top 15 and were named to the All-Inland Empire Athletic Conference team.  The Chaffey squad takes a break and will resume competition November 8th at the So CA Regionals in San Diego.
