The Panthers hosted Mt SAC tonight, falling to the Mounties 38-6.
The first half was all Mounties with the Panthers unable to get into the redzone and complete a drive. Despite a few scoring opportunities, at the half Chaffey trailed 28-0.
After the break, Chaffey's Josiah Barron received a 21-yard pass from Nicholas Poulos to put the Panthers on the board for the first time tonight. The Mounties immediately ran the play's kickoff return back 67 yards to put them back in scoring position. Mt SAC then pulled off a 5th touchdown and a 47-yard fieldgoal to close out the game.
Poulos had 161 yards passing and 19 yards rushing. Julian Banks had three receptions and nine rushing charges.
On the defense, Edward Giles and Ezra Alapati led the Panthers with 4 solo tackles and 3 assists each. Alapati also had an interception.
The Panthers are on the road next Saturday at El Camino and return home to play their final game of the season against Riverside on November 12th.
