By the second inning yesterday, Panther Softball had already put a commanding lead onto the board - ahead by 11 over Santa Monica. The team scored an additional 8 in the 3rd and five in the 4th to take the game 24-1. The Corsairs crossed home in the top of the 5th for their sole run of the game.
Violet Salazar and Isabella Anzueto were on the mound with Anzueto taking over to start the 3rd. In total they had 12 strikeouts, 1 walk and 1 hit.
Clarissa Banuelos' two homeruns produced four RBIs. These were her first collegiate homers. Salazar had a triple, to doubles and a single, 3 RBI2 and crossed the plate twice in just five appearances at bat. Sabrina Garcia was on point to hit for the cycle with a single, double, and triple in the five inning game. In all 10 Panthers crossed home on the way to the victory.
