It was a tough day for Panther Softball that came into yesterday's game undefeated in conference, falling 7-0 at home to San Bernardino Valley.
"Unfortunately, we struggled with our hitting the entire day," said Head Coach Jerry Tivey. "It's only the second time we've been shut out all season so you have to give their pitchers credit."
Chaffey managed five hits including doubles by Lorissa Avila and Ginger Duncan.
On the mound for the Panthers, Violet Salazar gave up one run in the first four innings before being relieved by Isabella Anzuelo. Anzuelo gave up nine hits and six runs.
The Panthers have today and tomorrow to regroup before heading south to Imperial Valley for a Saturday doubleheader.
