men's basketball (1993-94)

Coach George Tarkanian led the 1993-94 Chaffey College Basketball Team into an unprecedented history making season in his first year as head coach at Chaffey College.  They were the only team to go undefeated for 30 straight games, and the second team to advanced to the state championships since the school's opening in 1883.  As well, they were the first team to capture the Foothill Confernece Championship.  In fact the team set, what is a record at any level when they defeated Mt San Jacinto, scoring 98 points in just one half of the game!  The team was also led by assistant coach Dave Rice, who is now the head coach at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is considered one of the top coaches in the United States.  It also featured the talents of Jerran Cobb, Reggie Cotton, Robin Kennedy, Sean Knapper, Grant Rice, Warren Rosengreen, Deon Mitchell, Kio Nahavandi, Everett Barrow, Jason Lammey, Corey Mitchell, Garland Johnson, Mitchell Harris, and Charles Williams.  Overall, seven players received athletic scholarships to four-year universities, five of them were from Division I schools.  There were four All-state players, four Junior College All-American, and two successful coaches from the 1993-94 team.
