Women's Basketball Head Coach 1990-2002

Chris Stephens has left his legacy at Ontario High School as a student, teacher, and coach.  He attended school in the 1970s playing baseball and was elected student body president of the class of 1973.  After graduation, Chris attended California State University, San Bernardino where he studied social science.  Upon earning a Bachelor's degree, Chris returned to Ontario High School to coach baseball and later boy's and girl's basketball.

Chris is most recognized for this contributions to the Ontario High School girl's basketball program.  He was named "Coach of the Year" by the Daily Report, LA Times, and CIF after leading the Lady Jaguars to the league championship and to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in school history.

In 1991, Chris joined the Chaffey College coaching staff accepting the head women's basketball coach position, in ehe would hold for the next 12 years.  Under Chris' leadership, the Lady panthers had an amazing 133 and 25 record, won 6 conference championships, and made 12 playoff appearances.  Also, Chris was named Foothill Conference "Coach of the Year" five times.

In 2002, Chris left Ontario High School to teach at Los Osos where he established the girl's basketball program.  Chris coached the Lady Grizzlies for five seasons, leading them to five CIF playoff appearances and a 2008 trip to the CIF finals.  Chris continues to teach at Los Osos, focusing on AP and college prep psychology courses.
