The men took a four run lead in the first yesterday against Santa Ana but were unable to hold on and outscore the Dons who eventually took the game 5-4. Chaffey held the Dons scoreless until the 3rd but it was an 8th inning series of singles by Santa Ana that took the game.
In the first, Chaffey's Colby Sims hit a over the fence homer to bring in Seamus Fallon followed by a sac fly by Corben Bellamy and an RBI by Matthew Shea. At 3rd, Shea was on fire - holding the Dons offense at bay.
The men are on the road until next Tuesday, traveling south to Southwestern and Grossmont Friday/Saturday. Tuesday the men host Cerro Coso at 2pm.
