The men played their first of three against Mt SAC yesterday, defeating the Mounties 9-6. The Panthers took a 2nd inning lead and despite strong attempts by SAC, held on until the 9th consistently scoring. Third baseman Jason DuMont led the Panthers with two runs, one hit, and three RBIs. Hansen started out on the mound for Chaffey and was relieved by Tillman in the fourth and winning pitcher Johan Castillo in the 6th. Castillo gave up two runs and 4 hits in 3.2 innings. The men travel to Mt SAC Thursday for game two of the SCC series.
