Chaffey Baseball opened the 2020 season yesterday at Cypress College, falling to the Chargers 8-4. Cypress took a 5-0 lead holding the Panthers scoreless into the 7th inning when Darren Taylor knocked the game's sole homer to put Chaffey on the board. Cypress went on to score three in the 7th putting the score at 8-1. In the ninth the Panthers loaded the bases off three walks and Kyle Rojas singled to bring in Bradley Chesterton. With bases still loaded, the Chargers again walked a batter bringing Jason DuMont over the plate. With two outs, bases remained full. Cooper Way stepped up to hit a single to bring in the 3rd run of the inning with Jairemy Pulido scoring the Panthers' final run of the game.
