PANTHERS SPLIT SERIES WITH EL CAMINO
Wednesday, the Panthers hosted #2 El Camino defeating the Warriors 5-1. Leading 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Sergio Ramirez reached first on an error that also scored Colby Sims - who was on base off a double. Jairemy Pulido singled then Jeovani Delgado doubled to bring in Ramirez and Pulido. El Camino scored their sole run in the fifth. Elias Jauregui earned the win off his 8 inning appearance. Eddie Pietschmann covered the final inning facing 4 batters with three strikeouts.
Today, the teams faced off again, this time with the favored Warriors tying the game 3-3 in the fourth after Chaffey scored three in the 1st inning. Darren Taylor, Bradley Chesterton, and Daniel Mendez each earned one RBI in the inning. El Camino managed two runs in the 7th and the 8th to take the game 7-3.
The team hosts Fullerton Tuesday.
