BASEBALL SPLITS SERIES AT SANTA BARBARA

The men traveled to Santa Barbara this weekend splitting the series with the Vaqs - defeating SBCC yesterday 1-0 and falling 9-6 today.
Yesterday, it was a pitchers' duel with Elias Jauregui once again dominant through 7. Freshman Tyler Tilton finished it off for his second save this season. A solo homer from Sergio Ramirez in the 3rd was the sole run scored and gave the Panthers the road win.
Today, the Panthers led 4-2 after five innings but gave up five runs in the sixth to give Santa Barbara their first lead of the weekend series. Chaffey managed two ninth inning runs but ultimately came up short 9-6. Jairemy Pulido led the Panthers with 2 runs and 3 hits.
The men host Cerro Coso Tuesday.
