HOWARTH AND BUJANDA COMMIT TO PLAY DI BALL
Congratulations to Cole Howarth and Jared Bujanda who have made their decision to continue their athletic careers at Division I schools Cal Baptist and CSU Bakersfield. "I am extremely proud of both of these guys for these opportunities that they have worked hard to ear," said Head Coach Andy Smith. "Both are outstanding ball players and young men that I fully expect to make immediate and significant contributions at their programs. Both of them exemplify everything we preach here in our program and will be excellent representatives at the next level for Chaffey College Athletics."
Cole Howarth a freshman firstbaseman from Chino Hills HS is headed to Cal Baptist University in Riverside where he will play for the Lancers in the Western Athletic Conference. "Cole is an imposing presence in the box that can punish mistakes over the plate to all fields. I fully expect him to only continue growing under Coaches Adcock, Brasington and Hancock as a hitter, ball player, and person."
Freshman outfielder Jared Bujanda (Upland HS) will continue his academic and playing journey at CSU Bakersfield as a Roadrunner in the Big West Conference. "Jared has grown into one of the premier outfielders in the state. After a slow start to hi college career in 2020, he learned how to use his athleticism at the plate to become a high-level hitter that will only continue improving for Coach Beard's roadrunners. I look forward to watching him in the BWC next year patrolling centerfield for CSUB."
