Chaffey
It wasn't the Panthers' day Saturday as Chaffey lost their third game to San Bernardino Valley this season. 8-2. "They threw a great pitcher who has his best performance of the year," lamented Head Coach Andy Smith. "Sometimes a guy can go out like that and just beat you and that's what he did."
The Panthers weren't without merit. Two runs were scored by Zach Kim; once off a wild pitch and an 8th inning RBI from Cole Howarth. Howarth's single was only one of two hits for Chaffey.
Blake Griffin took the mound to start the game for Chaffey, going five with four runs for the game loss. He was followed by Alvarado, Wedge, and Houlihan to close out the final four. In total the bullpen gave up ten hits.
The Panthers take on SBVC again later today.
