Undefeated Ventura College, currently ranked #2 in the state, were too much for the Panthers Saturday night as Chaffey fell 60-0 on the Pirates' home field. Starting quarterback Kevin Lukasiewicz attempted to move the ball with 10 successful passes for 80 yards. Tyon Crook and Maurice Martin combined for 23 plays and an additional 73 rushing yards. Despite 74 tackles incluiding 9 solos by Almani Bishop and 8 by Ja Cari Williams, the Pirate offense proved too much for the Chaffey D-Line, out passing, rushing and converting the ball.
The Panthers play at home this Saturday, taking on Southwestern College at 6pm. Fans will be permitted in the stands for the first time this season.
