PANTHERS TAKE ON PALOMAR AT ANNUAL TAILGATE GAME
The Panthers hosted Palomar College tonight, falling to the Comets 24-6.
Chaffey put the first points on the board off a 7-yard pass from Nicholas Poulos to Emmanuel Mogbolu but that would be the only scoring completion for the team in tonight's National Conference game.
Palomar led 10-6 at the half and expanded that lead after the break with a series of touchdowns in the third quarter.
Poulos returned to the field tonight after sitting out the last game, putting up 113 passing yards, 29 carrying. A third quarter interception opened the door for Palomar and widened the lead to 11.
Edward Gilds and Alexander Rodriguez led the defense. Rodriguez had seven solo tackles.
The Panthers are at home again next Saturday taking on Mt SAC.
