Panther Football played their final away game of the 2022 season Saturday, taking on El Camino and falling 30-20 to the Warriors.
At the half, Chaffey was up 6-3 after scoring a touchdown at the close of the 1st quarter - Nicholas Poulos handed off to Zaire Lozolo who took it the final yard into the endzone. El Camino scored off a 26-yard fieldgoal.
After the break, the Warriors scored a touchdown and then another off a short punt return. El Camino continued the pressure deep into the 4th taking the score to 6-30. With 6 minutes on the clock, Chaffey's Poulos passed to Josiah Barron for a TD followed five minutes later by another Poulos pass this time to Marcus Johnson. Chaffey trailed 30-20 with just over a minute remaining in play.
Poulos had 327 yards passing and 33 yards rushing. For the defense, Alexander Rodriguez had ten solo tackles.
The Panthers will host RCC next Saturday at 1pm for their final home game of the season.
