The Panthers took on Imperial Valley and Santa Barbara last weekend at the LA Valley Tournament going undefeated and defeating both opponents by 20+ points.
"The LA Valley Tournament was a big success," said Head Coach Jeff Klein. "We had two convincing wins and all team members had the opportunity to play. Our young players gained valuable experience that they should be able to use in our upcoming contests."
Darren Williams led the Panthers on both ends of the floor posting 16 points against Santa Barbara.
The Panthers are currently ranked #11 and will take on #3 Citrus Friday on the Owls' home court. The two teams have a long standing rivalry and Friday's game will showcase two of the top teams in the state. Saturday, the Panthers are slated to play #6 Santa Monica. The Corsairs, like Citrus are undefeated after the first two weeks of the season. Both games will be played at Citrus.
The wait for home basketball is almost over as the Panthers play their 1st home game of the season Friday, November 22nd vs Antelope Valley at 7pm.
