The men opened the 2022-23 season yesterday with a final seconds win over Glendale College 60-59.
"We played super hard and defended well," said Head Coach Jeff Klein about the season opener.
Leading the Vaqueros by five at the half, the Panthers took the nail biter down to the wire when sophomore wing Marcus Green hit a free throw with 7 seconds on the clock to take the match. Green along with Marcus Henry had 14 points each. Brody Davis added 10.
"It was a great win on the road against a well coached team," added Klein.
The team takes on San Diego Mesa Friday and will play their first home contest on the 9th vs Santiago Canyon.
