PANTHERS OPEN SEASON WITH HUGE WIN OVER TOP RANKED CERRITOS

The Panther men were on fire tonight as they opened the 2023-24 season with a huge home win over #10 Cerritos.

Playing for the first time in 13 years, the Panthers returned to the historic Sicosky court to take on the Falcons, delivering a 97-77 win to open the season.

Freshman Marcus Green (Etiwanda HS) delivered a stunning collegiate debut leading the Panthers with 19 points.  Fellow freshman Nate (Nathanial) Simon and Uriyah Rojas delivered 17 each while sophomore returner Brody Davis put forward the team's only double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The Panthers led by 19 at the half and opened that lead into the 20s in the 2nd period of play never giving the Falcons the breadth needed to even it out.

The Chaffey squad will return to the Sports Center court this Saturday to take on San Diego Mesa at 1pm.
