The Panther men came in to tonight's contest against Santa Monica with a target on their backs. Coming into the game up 8-1 on the season, it would be the unranked Corsairs that would deliver a sobering 85-74 defeat.
Down by ten at the half, Chaffey evened out the scoring in the 2nd period but could nbot overcome the SMC defense.
Chaffey's Nate Simon led the entire game with 18 points. Uriyah Rojas added 14. Marcus Green and Brody Davis each had 13.
Going into tonight's contest, the Panthers were ranked #30 in the state. The team returns home to the Sports Center Saturday to take on Imperial Valley at 2pm.
