The difference between the first and second halves of tonight's IEAC game against San Bernardino Valley were like night and day with the Panthers coming back from a 14 point deficit to defeat San Bernardino in overtime 89-85. The win keeps the Panthers in IEAC first place, tied early on with Cerro Coso with a 3-0 conference record.
"The guys stuck with the plan, hit some big shots and made a difference at the freethrow line," Head Coach Jeff Klein commented after tonight's win.
Shaden Knight rocked the house hitting an impressive 17 points (12 coming off threes) and going 4:5 from the line. Marcus Green added 17 as well and was 9:11 from the line. Nate Simon, Brody Davis, Uriyah Rojas, and Mourad Toure were all in double digits with all players contributing to the overtime win.
The Panthers will have the next week to build up strength before traveling to Copper Mountain next Wednesday.
