The Panthers added another win at home Friday defeating College of the Canyons 4-1. The Cougars only goal came off a penalty kick while sophomore goalie Alex Mitchell held them scoreless throughout the rest of play with four saves. The Panthers managed to score four impressive goals in the first 40 minutes of the game including a Miguel Correa shot with just five minutes on the clock. Ivan Diaz added two to his season tally, Marco Rodriguez added the remaining goal. Diaz is third in the state and leading the IEAC in scoring.
Coach Cooper's take: "We were prepared for Canyons. We knew they had a fast forward who could get in behind. Overall, all three of our lines played well and got the job done. Up 4-1 at the half allowed us to get nearly everyone minutes."
The men host El Camino today. The Warriors are ranked 6th in the state and come into today's game 5-0-1 overall.
