Panther Men's Soccer traveled to LA Mission yesterday, defeating the Eagles 2-1.
Trailing by one deep into the first half, Kaden Smith (assisted by Alonso Chavarria) knocked one in to tie it up going into the break. The Panthers got a much needed goal courtesy of Luis Casillas and Miguel Gonzalez Palo at 73 minutes into play.
Jonathan Zepeda defended the net and held the Eagles off with five saves.
Head Coach Chris Araya: Great game today. Very happy with our game management execution. We dealt with a few difficulties and scenarios we have not faced yet, but the team did a great job at problem solving and finding a way to win. Extremely happy and excited of the direction we are going.
The win takes the team to 3-2-1 ahead of Friday's home game against Santa Monica.
