The Panthers were out at College of the Desert yesterday taking on the Roadrunners for the 2nd time this season. In their first matchup, the Panthers came away with a 2-1 win. Yesterday, the teams tie 1-1.
Andres Ponce scored the sole goal for the Chaffey squad halfway through the 2nd period to break the scoreless game. Desert managed to get one by Jonathan Zepeda just prior to the whistle to snag the teams in a tie with little time to resolve it. Zepeda had 7 saves.
The men are at home Tuesday taking on Victor Valley. The last time the teams faced off, Panthers won 1-0. The men currently hold 1st place in conference with two IEAC games remaining.
