The Panther men got their first win of the new season yesterday, defeating the Antelope Valley College Marauders 2-1.
Alejandro Sanchez earned his first collegiate goal just eight minutes into the match. By the end of the half, AVC had tied up the game.
Sophomore returner Kaden Smith knocked a 75th minute shot in and the defense held to take the match 2-1.
Keeper Erik Flores had five saves.
The men take on Santa Ana on the road Friday.
