The Panther men returned home yesterday to take on Santa Barbara, defeating the visiting Vaqueros 2-0.
Chaffey took an early 1-0 lead when Julio Martinez found the back of the net off a pass from Luis Casillas. Casillas had an additional first period assist 16 minutes later on a pass to Manuel Zapata.
The game was dominated offensively and defensively by the Panthers with keepers Rafael Lopez-Sanchez and Jonathan Valdez seeing a total of 10 saves.
The team is on the road Friday at Santa Monica and returns home next Tuesday to take on Rio Hondo.
