EL-GAOUNY TAKES FIRST AT MT SAC

The Mt SAC Invitational was a great platform for the Men's Swim team with top finishes by newcomer Nicolas Nario and sophomore Jade El-Gaouny.  El-Gaouny resumed his place as the top distance swimmer in the region with a 1st place finish in the 1650 Yard Free (17:46.59).  "It was an exciting race that came down to the last 5 feet," said Head Coach John Hallman.  Nario, who shined at last week's SCC Pentathlon, had two top finishes (200 Yard IM and 50 Yard Fly).  El-Gaouny also finished 5th in the 500 Free and 13th in the 100 Back.

Two relay teams also finished in the top 15: 4x100 Medley (El-Gaouny, Andrew Cervantez, Nario, Braden Bailey) and 4x100 Free (El-Gaouny, Nario, Sebastian Bejerano, Bailey).  Complete meet results

Next up for the Panthers is their first SCC duo meet at Cerritos on the 28th with Long Beach.
