TAFOLLA AND MAGANA RUN AT STATE FINALS
Andrew Tafolla and Joel Magana, the duo that have led the Panthers all season, represented the men's team at Saturday's CCCAA state finals finishing in the top 100 athletes in the state. Tafolla improved his time on the Woodward course by a minute and a half to finish 32nd overall with a time of 21:06.5. This was Magana's first trip the state final meet. He finished the course 21:47.6 for a 73rd place finish. Coaches Lander and Crowell have taken Panther teams and individuals to every state finals event since the reinstatement of the programs in 2015.

I'm extremely proud of both Andrew Tafolla and Joey Magana. These two guys ran 12 weeks at 80 miles per week and made massive improvements this year. They both saved their best for the championship season: Andrew running 20:20 at the So Cal Championships and Joey racing to 21:35 and 21:48 in the So Cal Championships and State Championships respectively.
