PANTHERS OPEN CONFERENCE SEASON WITH BACK-TO-BACK SHUTOUTS

The Panthers were at Mt San Jacinto Friday for the beginning of the IEAC season, shutting out the Eagles in both games. 

In game 1, the Panthers were 10-0 with runs scored in the first, third, and fifth innings.  Coralyn Garcia led the Panthers with two runs, two hits, and one RBI.  In all, seven Panthers crossed the plate in the 5-inning duel.  Celeste Paniagua was back on the mound for Chaffey, going all five with only two hits and one walk.  

In the second game of the series, Chaffey shutout MSJC 3-0 with runs scored by Paniagua, Alyah Rueff, and Sabrina Garcia.  Isabella Anzueto pitched the complete game with three hits and two walks.  The Panthers will host the Eagles on March 30th.

Saturday, the team was at Glendale for non-conference play.
