The ladies opened the home basketball season tonight defeating the Citrus Fighting Owls 63-54. The Panthers took the lead early in the first quarter and never let up, leading at the half by ten points.
Freshmen Harjinder Takher and Elyanna Rios accounted for 41 of the Panthers' points. The freshman dominant team has been working hard in practice to create cohesive game play and it showed on the court with decisive passing and rebounds.
The team travels to Glendale next weekend for tournament play and will play next on their home court November 22nd against Cerritos.
