The ladies were back in action last night after a week-long break traveling to San Bernardino Valley. This was the team's third contest against the Wolverines this season with SBVC sweeping the series.
Chaffey trailed San Bernardino 25-14 at the half but battled back after the break to score 28 to SBVC's 30. Freshman Elyanna Rios had a career high 22 points, with 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block and 2:2 from the line.
Coach Burnett: "We just didn't come out with the energy and focus that we needed to compete. We have several more games and I expect we will get ourselves together to try and be in the top 3 conference wise."
The Panthers have played their last three games on the road and return home Saturday to take on Copper Mountain at 1pm. The last time the teams faced off, Chaffey emerged victorious at 56-47. Saturday's game is also the college's 7th Annual Coaches vs Cancer game honoring the American Cancer Society.
