In what were two very close opening periods of play today at home against the Mt San Jacinto Eagles, the Panthers couldn't hold on through 4, falling 63-55.
Sophomore standout Elyanna Rios outdid herself today with 23 points, nearly half of all Chaffey's score. In addition she was 100% from the freethrow line and had an incredible five 3-point buckets. Brianna Medrano added 12 points and 7 rebounds. Brilonnie Bell, always ready for a rebound opportunity added 13 to her impressive season total. She is averaging more than 12 rebounds/game and is ranked #1 in conference and #12 in the state.
Due to COVID rescheduling, the Panthers will take a break until the 14th when they travel to Mt San Jacinto. The women will play their final home game on Tuesday, February 22nd against Barstow.
