Rookie Coach Rizea and the Panthers opened the 2022-23 season Tuesday at Imperial Valley, falling to the Arabs 74-51.
The team's sole sophomore led the Chaffey squad with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Alyssa Gutierrez added 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals.
The team continues their road schedule Friday at Riverside for Day 1 of the RCC Crossover Tournament. Chaffey is scheduled to take on East LA at 5pm.
