The Panther women hosted their first game of the new year tonight, defeating College of the Desert 82-15.
Although COD was first to score, the Panthers held them to their initial basket until seconds before the halftime horn. At the break Chaffey led by 47 points. By the end, the lead would expand to 67.
All seven Chaffey players scored in the game with sophomore Grace Estrada leading the pack with 24 points and 14 rebounds for the night's only double-double. In their home debuts, Krystle Medrano and Tiffany Hall added 20 and 16 to the grant total. Stacy Abraham and Sophia DeGuzman also made their home debuts.
The Panthers are on the road for the next two games - first at Barstow and the Mt San Jacinto for IEAC games and will return to the Sports Center January 21st to take on LA Harbor (non-league).
