The Panther women went head-to-head with the Mt San Jacinto Eagles this afternoon, holding their own and being just edged out 53-49.
A close game from start to finish, the teams bounced back-and-forth scoring with MSJC up by two at the half. Ultimately, it would come down final minute free throws in the four point conference loss.
The Panthers were again led by Breonna Martinez who scored the game's only double double (10 points, 10 rebounds). Melinda Guzman hit three 3s on her way to an 11 point game.
The Panthers play their next four on the road, first at San Bernardino Valley on Wednesday.
