The women opened the conference season at home yesterday, defeating Pasadena 3-1. The teams went into the halftime break 2-1 with Angel Rodriguez and Caeylee Esquivel scoring for Chaffey in the first half of play. Lindsey Hennon scored an unassisted goal late in the game to secure the conference win for the Panthers. Esmeralda Garcia added 2 saves to her season record. The squad has a week-long break, traveling to East LA Tuesday.
