It was a big day for Panther Women's Soccer as the Chaffey squad claimed their fourth consecutive conference championship, Coach Grace Cooper's 5th.
The ladies hosted local rival San Bernardino Valley this afternoon and shutout the Wolverines 5-0 to remain undefeated this season. This was the 13th shutout for the team this season; in total they have given up only seven points.
Julia Galdamez scored the sole goal of the 1st half, her first of two for the game. After the break points came from Kayla Bergin, Serenity DeLaTorre, and Aliza Corona.
Autumn Gomez had two saves at the net to keep the Wolverines scoreless.
Head Coach Grace Cooper: It's a great win! For us it was something we set our goal as being conference champs again. This is the 4th time for us. The girls played well. We have one conference game left and we just need to keep the momentum in our favor and remain undefeated.
The Panther season is not over as the teams take on Norco at home Tuesday (sophomore recognition game) and then travel to Southwestern Thursday. Playoffs are scheduled to start Saturday, November 19th.
