The Panther Women continue their undefeated 2022 season and advance to round 2 of state playoffs with a win Saturday against San Diego Mesa. The 4-0 victory was the team's 15th sweep this season and the second against the Mesa Olympians. The win moves the Panthers on to take on College of the Canyons tomorrow.
Against Mesa, Chaffey took an early and commanding lead scoring three in the first half all by freshman Sydney Cotter for her first collegiate hat trick. After the break, Aliza Corona knocked in a fourth.
Tending duties were split by Autumn Gomez and Marissa Betancourt. Gomex took the first 70 minutes of play with two saves. Betancourt closed out the game with three.
The Panthers will now play #9 Canyons at home tomorrow at 2pm.
