PANTHERS MOVING ON TO STATE FINAL FOUR

Panther Women's Soccer defeated Mt SAC Saturday at home 1-0 to advance to the CCCAA state finals to be held this weekend at American River College (Sacramento).

Saturday, the #1 seeded Panthers hosted #4 Mt SAC in the toughest showdown thus far in post season.  Sophomore starter Kayla Bergin knocked the sole goal of the game into the net to close out the first period.  Then, it was up to the defense and goalie Autumn Gomez to hold the Mounties at bay for the final period of play.  Gomez earned four saves.

The Panthers now travel to Sacramento to take on the north's #2 seed, Fresno City Friday at 4pm.  Fresno upset undefeated Folsom Lake Saturday 3-1 to advance.  Also competing Friday will be Saddleback and San Joaquin Delta.  The winners of the two games will face off Sunday for the state championship.
