The Panther women opened the 2023 season with a decisive road win at Las Positas College (Livermore, CA). The 4-0 win sets the tone for another championship season.
Eleven minutes into play against the Hawks, newcomer Gisele Speirs (Upland HS) scored her first collegiate goal assisted by Leslie Adalpe. Adalpe, a sophomore returner from last year's state finalist team had three assists on the day including a goal just seven minutes later by fellow sophomore Isis Medina.
Sophomore Sydney Cotter sealed the first half domination with a unassisted shot and followed up in the 2nd half with the Panthers' 4th game point.
Keeper Jessica Collins defended the net with five saves.
The Panthers play their first season home game tomorrow at 4pm vs Antelope Valley College.
