The Panthers swept their IEAC Desert games this season, shutting out the Roadrunners 2-0 Tuesday. It was the 14th shutout win for the Panthers this season.
Gisele Speirs scored both 2nd period goals against COD. The freshman from Upland HS has scored nine this season, 2nd only to sophomore returner Isis Medina.
Chaffey's goalkeepers have limited goals to two in the last 17 games. Marissa Betancourt defended the entire 90 minutes, holding off the COD offense with three saves.
The Panthers return to their home field Friday afternoon to take on Victor Valley at 4pm. The last matchup for the teams was October 10th with the Panthers victorious 7-0.
